PREA is the Prison Rape Elimination Act, federal law which requires all prisons, jails, and lock-up facilities to be audited once every three years by an auditor certified by the U. S. Department of Justice (DOJ). Kuennen Northwest’s principal consultant, Bruce Kuennen, is one of approximately 225 persons nationwide who has this certification for adult prisons and jails. His most recent 3-year certification is effective December 31, 2022.

Bruce will provide a full audit of your facility(ies) OR will consult with you to prepare you and your staff for an audit. (Conflict of interest requirements prohibit auditors from doing both.)
Kuennen NW will also partner with other certified auditors as the leader or member of an audit team, for larger facilities or systems.
